The Discipline of General Practice would like to welcome visiting Academic, Dr May-Lill Johansen.
Dr Johansen is a GP, PhD and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Community Medicine, UiT The Arctic University of Tromso, Norway. She is head of the Teaching Unit for General Practice at UiT, with a special responsibility for the 8 week placement of the medical students in primary care. Her interests in education and research include diagnostic reasoning, the doctor-patient relationship, cancer and palliation in primary care, medically unexplained symptoms and interprofessional education (IPE).
Dr Johansen is in Australia as part of a 12-month sabbatical and will be with the Discipline until the 12th of October. We look forward to having Dr Johansen as part of our teaching and research collaborative and hope she enjoys her time both within the Discipline, and Australia.
