Dr Lane is a General Practitioner at Queensland Centre for Intellectual and Developmental Disability at the Mater Hospital. She is also a Senior Lecturer for Clinical Skills Development and General Practice.
Margo has been a General Practitioner in Brisbane and Ipswich for 20 years and was the Clinical Skills Co-ordinator, Phase 1 MBBS at UQ's former Ipswich Campus. She is a member of both RACGP and ASID.
Margo's interests include the development of communication skills in medical students; health care and health promotion for people with intellectual disability; and she is involved in inter-professional education.
She is also a PhD scholar supervised in part by Prof Mieke van Dreil and her project is entitled "Addressing health inequalities in adults with intellectual disability by a novel student led workplace and workforce education program."
