Associate Professor Riitta Partanen is the Acting Head of the Rural Clinical School. She has been the Director of the Hervey Bay Rural Clinical School (RCS) since 2006 and in 2013 took on the Co-Director of Learning role for the whole RCS. In addition to her role as Director, Riitta has been the Clinical Lead for the General Practice Rotation since 2005 when the Hervey Bay Rural Clinical School first formed. She has been integral in the development of the Hervey Bay RCS site.
Riitta is a UQ medical graduate and obtained her Fellowship in General Practice with the RACGP in 1997. Riitta has been a General Practitioner in Maryborough for the past 18 years. Her research interests are in Medical Education and Rural Health.
